About the Artist

Lynae Zebest is a lifelong artist and maker, whose work frequently deals with the wild or animal side of the self: the way that wilderness interacts and overlaps with the industrial world as created by humans.

Lynae grew up as a strange genderskewed goblin child, traveling around the globe (particularly the Caribbean) with their parents, running around half feral, writing their own urban legends and mythologies and reading 3-5 books per week. They began experimenting with magic at an early age - which, oddly enough, may have just saved their sanity.

Lynae created their first illustrated book (an abecedarium of rare and extinct animals) at age 13, and has worked professionally at various times as a potter, sculptor, jewelry artist, illustrator, and experiential/participatory artist.

Lynae currently works with generative AI programs in some of their work, as  a way to fuse old and new technologies, and as part of a broader magical work of scrying and connecting with the invisible realms through the cracks in the material world.

Lynae is the the creative force and maker behind the indie cosmetic brand, Fanchromatic Nails. They are also currently working on a number of new projects:

  • A coloring book with line drawings of the Primordial Dreams Tarot
  • a line of textiles with maximalist prints
  • a series of ritual & occult pottery pieces & sculptures
