Alternate Cards: Suit of Water
In the process of creating the Primordial Dreams Tarot, I made a lot of different images for each card, and then often had to winnow down. Many of these images were obviously not-great - I'm not including those here! - but there were a number that I found to be really powerful images in their own right, even if they either didn't suit a given card, didn't match the overall look of the deck - or just didn't fit as well as the final image I ultimately chose for that card.
This page features all my favorites of the "rejected" Suit of Water (aka Cups) cards. This was the last Minor Arcana suit that I created, and by that point I already really knew what I wanted the cards to look like, and how to get what I wanted. As a result, I don't have as many alternate cards to share. Mostly, there were certain cards that were more challenging to get "just right" - especially Five and the Court Cards - and in the many iterations I often found more than 1 interesting one, even though only a single one ultimately made the cut!

The images included here are unmodified from their original generation, beyond basic upscaling. All cards in the final deck were significantly modified, altered, and layered over to create the final images.
To generate these images, I referenced the phrase "in the style of cave paintings" - and rather than simply referencing the name of a given Tarot card, I also prompted using the meanings and attributes of the cards, to create meditative occult sigils. All of these images were generated as magical workings.
