Alternate Cards: Suit of Earth
In the process of creating the Primordial Dreams Tarot, I made a lot of different images for each card, and then often had to winnow down. Many of these images were obviously not-great - I'm not including those here! - but there were a number that I found to be really powerful images in their own right, even if they either didn't suit a given card, didn't match the overall look of the deck - or just didn't fit as well as the final image I ultimately chose for that card.
This page features all my favorites of the "rejected" Suit of Earth (aka Pentacles) cards, including a version I tried out where the color scheme was based around green (kinda cool, but there are no natural pigments that could make that color so it just made it look totally unlike cave art), a version where the suit was Discs rather than Earth, another version where I tried to do more traditional court cards with Page/Knight/Queen/King, and another with Princess/Knight/Queen/King. This art turned out pretty cool but basically like it was from another deck entirely.

The images included here are unmodified from their original generation, beyond basic upscaling. All cards in the final deck were significantly modified, altered, and layered over to create the final images.
To generate these images, I referenced the phrase "in the style of cave paintings" - and rather than simply referencing the name of a given Tarot card, I also prompted using the meanings and attributes of the cards, to create meditative occult sigils. All of these images were generated as magical workings.
